Responsibilities:
• Apply complex rules to code, summarize, sequence, and stage information.
• Perform research, analysis, and decision-making to abstract, stage, or sequence information effectively.
• Write explanatory comments to enhance codes and determine additional information needed for cases.
• Conduct quality control activities such as auditing records and participating in data review meetings.
• Collaborate with teams to document established procedures for accreditation.
• Create case abstracts for patients, extracting data from medical records.
• Follow up on each case abstracted for the patient’s life, ensuring annual follow-up information is collected.
• Respond to information requests, create queries to extract data, and generate reports.
• Serve as a liaison within industry and regional groups and assist with collaborative studies.

Requirements:
• ODS or CTR license
• 6 months’ experience with accompanying Associate’s degree; 10 years’ experience with no degree
